Neodymium-doped laser

A Neodymium-doped laser uses a crystal called neodymium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet (Nd:YAG) to generate a focused, intense beam of light. The crystal is 'doped' with neodymium ions, which absorb energy from an external light source (like a flashlamp or diode laser). When excited, these ions release energy as a coherent laser beam at specific wavelengths, commonly 1064 nanometers. Such lasers are valued for their efficiency, durability, and ability to produce powerful, precise light beams used in medical procedures, industrial cutting, and scientific applications.
