Nelfinavir

Nelfinavir is an antiretroviral medication used to treat HIV infection. It works by blocking an enzyme the virus needs to replicate, helping to reduce the amount of virus in the body. This allows the immune system to recover and lowers the risk of developing AIDS. Nelfinavir is usually part of a combination therapy and must be taken as prescribed to be effective. While it helps control HIV, it does not cure the infection. Common side effects can include diarrhea, nausea, and fatigue, but many people tolerate it well with proper medical supervision.
