Neel Kashkari is an American banker and public servant, currently serving as the president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis. He gained prominence during the 2008 financial crisis when he led the Treasury Department's Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP), which aimed to stabilize the economy by providing financial support to struggling banks. Kashkari is known for advocating economic policies that promote job growth and equitable access to financial resources. He holds a degree in engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles, and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
