Necrosis

Necrosis is a type of cell death that occurs when tissues are severely damaged due to factors like injury, infection, or lack of blood supply. Unlike normal cell death, which is controlled and part of healthy processes, necrosis is uncontrolled and often causes inflammation and swelling in the affected area. This can lead to tissue decay, pain, and further health issues if not treated. Essentially, necrosis is the body's way of marking tissue that has been irreparably damaged and cannot recover on its own.
