Necessary Being
A Necessary Being is a concept in philosophy and theology referring to an entity that must exist and cannot not exist. Unlike things that depend on something else to exist (contingent beings), a Necessary Being exists by its very nature, providing the foundation for all existence. Many argue that the universe or existence itself points to such a being—often identified as God—who exists necessarily and unchangeably. This concept helps explain why anything exists at all, asserting that some ultimate, unconditional existence underpins everything else.
