Nazi-Soviet economic relations

Nazi-Soviet economic relations between 1932 and 1939 involved a pragmatic partnership where the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany exchanged resources to benefit both nations. The USSR supplied Germany with raw materials like oil, grain, and minerals essential for its military buildup, while Germany provided industrial machinery and technology. This cooperation was mutually advantageous: the Soviets gained vital supplies, and the Germans secured economic independence from Western powers. Although ideologically opposed, both regimes prioritized economic and strategic interests, culminating in the 1939 Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, a non-aggression agreement that secretly included protocols dividing Eastern Europe.
