NAWSA (National American Woman Suffrage Association)
The National American Woman Suffrage Association (NAWSA), founded in 1890, was a prominent organization dedicated to women's voting rights in the United States. It united different women's groups to work toward achieving a constitutional amendment that would grant women the right to vote. NAWSA organized campaigns, lobbied government officials, and mobilized supporters across the country. Its efforts were instrumental in gradually building public support for women's suffrage, which was ultimately achieved with the ratification of the 19th Amendment in 1920, granting women the right to vote.
