Navajo Nation (Diné)
The Navajo Nation, also known as Diné, is a Native American territory covering about 27,000 square miles across parts of Arizona, New Mexico, and Utah. Established as a sovereign tribal government, it is one of the largest and most populous Indigenous reservations in the United States. The Navajo people have a rich cultural heritage, language, and traditions that are actively preserved and celebrated. The Nation functions with its own government, laws, and services, while also engaging with federal and state governments. It plays a vital role in maintaining Navajo identity, sovereignty, and economic development within its homeland.
