Nature of Life

The nature of life encompasses the qualities that distinguish living beings from non-living matter. Living organisms grow, reproduce, respond to their environment, maintain internal stability (homeostasis), and have complex biochemical processes. They are organized, adaptable, and evolve over generations through genetic changes. Life exists in diverse forms, from microscopic bacteria to complex humans, all interconnected through ecosystems. Fundamentally, life reflects a dynamic, self-sustaining system capable of supporting its structure and functions, demonstrating resilience and the ability to adapt to changing conditions.
