Nature of God

The nature of God involves the concepts of substance and essence, which relate to what God is and what it means to be God. Substance refers to God's fundamental reality—considered unchanging and eternal—while essence encompasses God's defining qualities, such as omnipotence, omniscience, and goodness. Essentially, God's substance is what God is at the core, and essence describes how God manifests those qualities in the world. Together, they help us understand the character and presence of God in philosophical and theological discussions.
