natural gas transportation

Natural gas transportation involves moving gas from extraction sites to end users via pipelines or specialized tanker ships. Pipelines are the primary method, delivering gas over long distances through an extensive network of underground or aboveground pipes, often with compressors to maintain pressure. When pipelines aren’t practical, liquefied natural gas (LNG) is produced by cooling the gas to a liquid state, enabling it to be shipped in specialized tankers. Once at the destination, the LNG is regasified and distributed through local pipelines for residential, commercial, and industrial use.
