Nationalist Party of South Africa
The Nationalist Party of South Africa was a political organization founded in 1914 that governed South Africa from 1948 to 1994. It promoted policies of apartheid, a system of institutionalized racial segregation and discrimination against non-white populations. The party aimed to maintain white minority dominance and separate racial groups in all aspects of society, including education, housing, and employment. Its rule enforced oppressive laws that marginalized non-white South Africans for decades. The party's governance ended with the transition to majority rule and the establishment of a democratic South Africa in the early 1990s.
