National Urban and Community Forestry Advisory Council
The National Urban and Community Forestry Advisory Council (NUCFAC) is a group of experts that advises the U.S. Forest Service on ways to enhance and protect trees and green spaces in cities and communities. Their goal is to improve urban environments for residents’ health, climate resilience, and overall well-being by promoting sustainable management, planting, and care of urban forests. NUCFAC provides recommendations based on research and experience to help policymakers, city planners, and communities make informed decisions about urban forestry practices.
