National Unity Government of Myanmar

The National Unity Government (NUG) of Myanmar is an opposition coalition formed by elected lawmakers, civil society leaders, and ethnic representatives who oppose the military coup of February 2021. It aims to restore democracy, promote national reconciliation, and oppose military rule through political activism and advocacy. Although not officially recognized by the military or many countries, the NUG seeks to coordinate resistance efforts and represents those committed to democratic governance and human rights amid ongoing conflict and unrest in Myanmar.
