National Transitional Council (NTC)
The National Transitional Council (NTC) was a temporary governing body in Libya that emerged during the 2011 uprising against Muammar Gaddafi's regime. Comprised of various political and social groups, the NTC aimed to coordinate the rebellion and establish a new government. It played a crucial role in garnering international support, leading to NATO intervention. After Gaddafi's fall, the NTC oversaw the transition towards democracy, organizing elections and setting up a constitutional framework. It ultimately paved the way for the establishment of a new Libyan government, although the country has faced ongoing challenges since then.
