The National Tay-Sachs & Allied Diseases Association (NTSD) is an organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by Tay-Sachs disease and related genetic disorders. These are rare, inherited conditions where harmful substances build up in nerve cells, leading to progressive neurological decline and usually early death. NTSD provides education, promotes research, and offers resources to improve awareness, diagnosis, and management of these diseases. Its mission is to eliminate the impact of these disorders through advocacy, support, and advancing scientific understanding, ultimately aiming to find treatments and cures.
