National Tariff Commission

The National Tariff Commission (NTC) is a government agency responsible for protecting local industries by regulating imports. It evaluates whether imported goods are sold at unfairly low prices or are causing harm to domestic producers. If necessary, the NTC can recommend or implement measures like tariffs (taxes on imports) to level the playing field. Its goal is to promote fair competition, support economic growth, and safeguard jobs and local manufacturing by ensuring imported products don't unfairly disadvantage local businesses.
