National Skills Standards Board

The National Skills Standards Board (NSSB) was an organization created to develop and promote clear, consistent standards for skills and competencies across various careers and industries. Its goal was to ensure that workers possess the necessary knowledge and abilities for their jobs, making it easier for employers, employees, and educators to understand job requirements and qualifications. Although the NSSB was disbanded in 2010, its work contributed to the development of nationally recognized skill standards that support workforce development and lifelong learning.
