National Skill Standards Board

The National Skill Standards Board (NSSB) was an organization established to develop and promote a set of standards defining what skilled workers should know and be able to do across various industries. Its goal was to improve education, training, and workforce quality by providing clear benchmarks for skills and performance. Although it was disbanded in 2004, its work helped shape efforts to ensure workers are consistently prepared and qualified for their roles, benefiting both employers and employees by standardizing skill expectations nationwide.
