National Ski Patrol
The National Ski Patrol (NSP) is a nonprofit organization in the United States dedicated to enhancing safety and providing emergency medical assistance at ski resorts and other alpine environments. Founded in 1938, it trains and certifies volunteers to serve as patrollers, who assist injured skiers, ensure safe skiing conditions, and educate the public about mountain safety. NSP members often work closely with ski area management and local emergency services. They play a vital role in the ski community, helping to promote safety and enjoyment for all winter sports enthusiasts.
