National Rural Health Mission

The National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) is an initiative by the Indian government launched in 2005 to improve healthcare services in rural areas. Its goal is to reduce disparities in health access and outcomes for rural populations by strengthening healthcare infrastructure, increasing the number of trained health workers, and ensuring better availability of medicines and services. The mission focuses on maternal and child health, controlling diseases, and promoting health awareness, aiming to make quality healthcare accessible, affordable, and effective for rural communities across India.
