National Revolutionary Unity (Guatemala)

National Revolutionary Unity (URNG) was a guerrilla movement in Guatemala formed in 1982 by various leftist groups opposing the military dictatorship. It aimed to promote social justice, land reform, and indigenous rights through armed struggle. After years of conflict, URNG signed peace accords in 1996, transitioning into a political organization committed to democracy and social change.
