National Resistance Army
The National Resistance Army (NRA) was a rebel group in Uganda, formed in the early 1980s to challenge the government led by Milton Obote. It was primarily composed of former fighters and civilians dissatisfied with the current leadership, advocating for democratic reforms and justice. The NRA fought a guerrilla war, using mobility and local support to gain ground. In 1986, the group, led by Yoweri Museveni, successfully overthrew the government, leading to the establishment of a new leadership and ongoing efforts to stabilize and develop Uganda.
