National Park Service Artist-in-Residence Program
The National Park Service Artist-in-Residence Program invites talented artists to create work inspired by America’s national parks and public lands. Selected artists spend time onsite, engaging directly with the natural environment and cultural heritage. They produce art—such as paintings, photography, writing, or music—that highlights and interprets park landscapes and stories. The program aims to foster a deeper connection between people and protected areas, enriching public appreciation through creative expression. It balances artistic exploration with environmental stewardship, providing artists with unique opportunities to immerse themselves in these iconic settings while contributing to the parks' cultural significance.
