National Olympic Committee
A National Olympic Committee (NOC) is the organization responsible for representing a country in the Olympic movement. It coordinates the country’s participation in the Olympic Games, supports athletes’ training and development, and promotes Olympic values nationally. NOCs work closely with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and ensure that athletes and teams meet eligibility and standards required to compete. They also help organize national qualifying events and foster sportsmanship and unity through Olympic ideals. Essentially, an NOC acts as the official link between its country’s sports community and the global Olympic movement.
