National Naval Medical Center

The National Naval Medical Center (NNMC) was a major military hospital located in Bethesda, Maryland, serving active-duty military personnel, veterans, and their families. It provided comprehensive medical care, including specialized surgeries, mental health services, and rehabilitation, supporting the health needs of Navy and Marine Corps members. The facility also conducted medical research and training. In 2017, it merged with Walter Reed Army Medical Center to become the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, continuing to serve as a leading military healthcare facility with advanced medical capabilities.
