National Liberation Front (Vietnam)
The National Liberation Front (NLF) of Vietnam, also known as the Viet Cong, was a political and military organization formed in South Vietnam during the 1960s. It aimed to reunify Vietnam under Communist control and opposed the South Vietnamese government and U.S. forces supporting it. The NLF coordinated guerrilla warfare, political agitation, and local support to challenge foreign influence and the South Vietnamese regime. It played a central role in the Vietnam War, ultimately leading to the reunification of Vietnam under Communist rule in 1975.
