National Institute of the Korean Language

The National Institute of the Korean Language (NIKL) is South Korea’s official organization dedicated to researching, preserving, and promoting the Korean language. It develops language standards, creates dictionaries, and supports language education and policy. NIKL also works to ensure clear and consistent use of Korean in media, government, and daily life, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of Korean linguistic heritage both domestically and internationally.
