National Geospatial Program
The National Geospatial Program (NGP) is a division within the U.S. Geological Survey that creates and provides detailed geographic information, like maps, satellite images, and spatial data. This information helps scientists, government agencies, and the public understand Earth's features, monitor environmental changes, manage natural resources, and support navigation and planning. Essentially, NGP collects, maintains, and shares accurate geographic data to support decision-making and improve understanding of our planet.
