National Front (Front National)
The National Front, known as Front National (FN) in French, is a far-right political party in France founded in 1972. It emphasizes nationalism, strict immigration controls, and a strong stance against globalization and the European Union's influence in France. Historically, the party has been associated with anti-immigrant sentiments and has sought to preserve France’s cultural identity. Over the years, it has evolved under different leadership, notably Marine Le Pen, aiming to broaden its appeal while maintaining its core values. In 2018, it was rebranded as Rassemblement National (National Rally) to distance itself from its controversial past.
