National Education Goals Panel (NEGP)
The National Education Goals Panel (NEGP) was a government body established to monitor progress toward improving education in the United States. It set specific goals for student achievement, quality, and equal opportunity, and regularly assessed how schools and states were progressing. The panel aimed to ensure accountability and encourage efforts to raise educational standards nationwide. Operational from 1994 until 2002, the NEGP provided data and reports to inform policymakers, educators, and the public, supporting ongoing efforts to improve educational outcomes across the country.
