National Disaster Management Authorities

National Disaster Management Authorities (NDMAs) are government agencies responsible for coordinating efforts to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters such as natural calamities (earthquakes, floods) and man-made emergencies. They develop disaster response plans, provide training, and ensure communities are informed about risks. NDMAs also collaborate with other organizations, including local governments and international bodies, to enhance disaster resilience.
