National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC)

The National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC) was a full-time, team-based service program operated by AmeriCorps from 1994 to 2020. It brought young adults together to engage in community development projects across the U.S., such as disaster relief, environmental conservation, and education. Participants, called members, committed to service for about a year, working in diverse teams to address local needs and build leadership skills. NCCC aimed to strengthen communities while fostering civic engagement and professional growth among young professionals.
