National AYUSH Mission
The National AYUSH Mission (NAM) is an Indian government initiative aimed at promoting traditional healthcare systems—Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, and Homoeopathy. It encourages affordable, accessible, and sustainable AYUSH practices, especially in rural and underserved areas. The mission supports the development of infrastructure, training of practitioners, quality standards, and public awareness. Its goal is to integrate AYUSH medicine into the mainstream healthcare system, improve health outcomes, and preserve India’s rich traditional medicine heritage while providing holistic, patient-centered care.
