National Assembly of Wales
The National Assembly of Wales was the elected legislative body responsible for making laws and decisions on devolved matters such as health, education, and transportation in Wales. Established in 1999, it functions similarly to a regional parliament, with Members of the Senedd (Welsh Parliament Members) representing different areas. It works alongside the UK Parliament but has authority only over certain areas, known as devolved powers. The Assembly aims to reflect Welsh interests, improve public services, and promote the country's wellbeing through legislation, scrutiny, and policy development.
