National Agricultural Research Organization (NARO)

The National Agricultural Research Organization (NARO) is Uganda's main institution dedicated to improving agriculture through scientific research. Its goal is to develop better crops, livestock, and farming methods to increase food security, reduce poverty, and promote sustainable development. NARO conducts studies, creates new technologies, and works with farmers and policymakers to ensure that innovations are practical and beneficial. By focusing on agricultural challenges specific to Uganda, NARO helps boost productivity, adapt to climate changes, and enhance the livelihoods of farming communities.
