NAT444

NAT444 is a networking setup used by some internet providers where multiple layers of network address translation (NAT) occur—specifically, three levels—when connecting your home devices to the internet. This process assigns private IP addresses within your home network, translates them to a public IP address, then further translates again through the provider's network. While this helps manage many connections with limited public IPs, it can cause issues like reduced online gaming performance or problems with certain applications because of the extra translation layers. Essentially, NAT444 adds multiple steps in converting your local network signals to the internet.
