NAT types
NAT (Network Address Translation) types describe how a device connects to the internet through a router. "Open" or "Type 1" NAT allows full communication with all devices and servers, ideal for gaming and sharing files. "Moderate" or "Type 2" NAT restricts some connections, which can cause connectivity issues but still works in most cases. "Strict" or "Type 3" NAT severely limits communication, often blocking multiplayer gaming or voice chat. These types depend on how the router handles IP addresses and port forwarding, affecting the ease and quality of online connections.
