Nasjonal Samling (historical)

Nasjonal Samling was a political party in Norway founded in 1933 by Vidkun Quisling. It was a fascist and nationalist organization that collaborated with Nazi Germany during World War II. The party aimed to establish a centralized, authoritarian government aligned with Nazi ideology and sought to promote Norwegian nationalism. During the German occupation of Norway (1940-1945), Nasjonal Samling held power and enforced policies aligned with the occupation forces. After the war, the party was widely condemned, and Quisling was convicted of treason and executed, symbolizing betrayal in Norwegian history.
