nasal septum
The nasal septum is the wall that divides your nose into two separate nostrils. It’s made of cartilage and bone, providing support and shape to the nose. A normal septum is straight, allowing air to flow easily through both nostrils. Some people have a deviated septum, where the wall is crooked or shifted, which can cause breathing difficulties, nasal congestion, or sinus issues. In such cases, medical treatment or surgery may be needed to correct the alignment and improve airflow.
