nasal congestion

Nasal congestion occurs when the blood vessels and tissues inside the nasal passages become swollen or inflamed, often due to infections like colds, allergies, or irritants. This swelling narrows the airways, making it difficult to breathe comfortably through the nose. Common symptoms include a stuffy or blocked feeling, reduced airflow, and sometimes a runny nose. Congestion can also cause sinus pressure, headaches, and discomfort. It’s typically a temporary response of the immune system to fight off invaders or respond to allergens, and can often be relieved with remedies that reduce swelling or clear mucus.
