Nanoscale Science and Engineering Centers (NSEC) are research institutions dedicated to exploring and developing materials and technologies at an extremely small scale—about 1 to 100 nanometers, which is much smaller than a human hair. They bring together scientists and engineers from different fields to understand how materials behave at this scale and to create innovative applications in medicine, electronics, energy, and more. NSEC aims to advance fundamental knowledge, promote collaboration, and translate discoveries into useful, real-world solutions that improve our daily lives.
