Nanda Dynasty

The Nanda Dynasty was an ancient Indian royal family that ruled in the 4th and 3rd centuries BCE, primarily in the region of Magadha, which is in modern-day Bihar. Founded by Mahapadma Nanda, the dynasty is known for its significant contributions to the economy and military. The Nandas expanded their empire, promoting trade and administration while establishing a centralized government. They are often remembered for their wealth and powerful army. The dynasty eventually fell to Chandragupta Maurya, who founded the Maurya Empire, marking a shift in Indian history towards greater unification and governance.
