Nam Việt

Nam Việt was an ancient kingdom located in what is now northern Vietnam, existing from around 190 BCE to 43 CE. It was established after the fall of the Han Duy Nú (Han Chinese influence) and was a successor to earlier Vietnamese states. Nam Việt was a blend of indigenous cultures and Chinese influence, serving as a regional power that maintained its independence for several decades before being absorbed into the expanding Han Chinese empire. Its history reflects the complex interactions between local traditions and Chinese political and cultural influences during that period.
