Nalanda University (India)

Nalanda University, located in India, was an ancient center of learning established in the 5th century CE. It was one of the world's earliest residential universities, attracting scholars from across Asia who studied subjects like Buddhism, philosophy, mathematics, astronomy, and medicine. Known for its vast library and impressive architecture, Nalanda symbolized knowledge and cultural exchange during its time. After declining and destruction in the 12th century, the site was revived as a modern university in 2014, aiming to promote higher education, research, and international collaboration in a global context.
