Naked singularities

A naked singularity is a theoretical point in space where gravity becomes infinitely strong, causing the laws of physics to break down. Unlike black holes, which hide this singularity behind an event horizon, a naked singularity would be visible, exposing such extreme conditions directly. This challenges our understanding of the universe and the nature of physics, as current theories suggest that nature prohibits such exposed singularities to preserve predictability. However, whether naked singularities actually exist remains an open question in astrophysics and general relativity.
