Nahuatl script

Nahuatl script refers to the writing system used by the Aztecs and other Mesoamerican cultures, primarily consisting of a combination of pictographs, ideograms, and some phonetic signs. Rather than a fully alphabetic system, it used visual symbols to represent words, ideas, and sounds, often depicting natural elements, deities, or actions. These symbols could be arranged to convey complex information about history, rituals, and society. While not a true alphabet, Nahuatl script was a functional and expressive means of communication that blended art and writing, playing a vital role in preserving Aztec history and culture.
