Nahua peoples
The Nahua peoples are a group of indigenous communities primarily in Mexico, descended from the ancient Aztecs. They speak the Nahuatl language and have rich cultural traditions in art, music, and rituals. Historically, they built powerful city-states and contributed significantly to Mesoamerican history. Today, Nahua communities maintain their cultural identity while also participating in modern Mexican society. They often work as farmers, artisans, or in local trades, and continue to keep alive their language and customs, representing a vital link to Mexico’s pre-Columbian heritage.
