Naga wars

The Naga Wars were a series of conflicts between the Naga tribes and the Indian government during the mid-20th century, primarily from 1952 to the late 1960s. The Nagas, an indigenous group in northeastern India and Myanmar, sought independence or greater autonomy, resisting integration into India. The Indian government aimed to unify and control the region, leading to military clashes and insurgencies. Over time, a peace process emerged, resulting in some agreements granting political rights and autonomy to the Naga people, though tensions and negotiations continue to this day.
