Nafarelin
Nafarelin is a medication that belongs to a class called gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonists. It works by reducing the production of certain hormones involved in reproductive functions, such as estrogen and testosterone. Nafarelin is commonly used to treat conditions like endometriosis, fibroids, or to control heavy menstrual bleeding, by decreasing hormone levels and ovulation. It is typically administered as a nasal spray or injection under medical supervision. While effective, it may cause side effects related to hormonal changes, like hot flashes or bone density loss, especially with long-term use.
